What, or better put who is a “poser”?

I guess the standard definition of a “poser” is someone who pretends to be someone they aren’t.

All too often in motorcycle land someone will call someone else a “poser” because of what they wear or what they ride without really knowing anything about that person.  Why do some people do this?  I’m guessing it’s jealousy, but I don’t know for sure.

The reality is that all of us “pose” at one time or another.  Getting a haircut when you’d rather keep it long as an example.  Hell, actors make millions “posing”.

When it comes to motorcycles what does it matter how a person dresses or what they ride?  It shouldn’t matter at all.  What a person rides or what they wear should only be important to them not someone else.  The only thing that should matter is that they’re out riding.

So if you get the urge to call someone a “poser”, don’t.  Ride what you ride and wear what you wear and enjoy the ride.
